Community wind farms: the future of Ireland?
The team from Irish TV station RTÉ 1 visited Dirkshof again for a report on the topic of "Green Electricity?" to learn about the community wind farm model and export it to Ireland.
Ireland relies more on fossil energy than renewable energy, despite the country's many suitable wind sites. This often fails due to a lack of public acceptance. In its critical report "EcoEye," the team from Irish TV station RTÉ 1 investigated the reasons for this and sought inspiration for sustainable energy concepts in Denmark and Germany.
