In Reußenköge, it becomes evident how wind energy can be used flexibly through modern energy storage solutions.

Together with project partner be.storaged, Dirkshof has successfully commissioned the large-scale battery storage system in Reußenköge. The facility complements the existing wind farm with a high-performance storage solution and enables flexible use of the wind power generated.
With an output of 20 MW and a capacity of 40 MWh, the battery storage system can absorb surplus energy and feed it back into the grid at a later time. Following the scheduled completion of the construction phase, the system was built on an area of around 500 square meters and is directly connected to the neighboring wind farm.
