Wind energy pioneer Dirk Ketelsen on SAT.1

The SAT.1 TV team visited Dirkshof on the occasion of HusumWind 2021 and the current repowering project in the Reußenkögen area.

Our owner and managing director, Dirk Ketelsen, is considered a wind power pioneer in Northern Germany. Together with his team, he manages around 80 wind turbines at Dirkshof, and more are being added every year.

SAT.1 regional television recently reported on how it all began 32 years ago, when Dirk Ketelsen was still a farmer, and how much he paid for his first windmill. The report tells how Dirk Ketelsen's idea of ​​building his own windmill on the farm became Germany's first community wind farm.
