For months now the nights in Reußenköge / Schleswig-Holstein have been kept dark again – thanks to the passive radar system Parasol the obstruction lighting on 51 wind turbines of the area are successfully switched off at night. Now the 2nd large-scale project is about to be launched in Lower Saxony. Parasol’s system is to switch off a total of 52 wind turbines type Vestas and Enercon in the area of Oldenburg covering a surface of almost 100 km2. The positioning of the mobile antenna units (dislocation) will take place this spring. Subsequently, the external masts will be installed to position the Parasol system.
